At Sidekick Money, we’re a customer-focused startup embarking on a bold mission to unlock products and financial services typically reserved for the 1%. Our recently introduced MVP for actively managed investments is gaining an enthusiastic response from our Founding Members. We are currently growing our team and are in search of a Product Manager to join our small team in Old Street, London. Your role will contribute to our journey of democratising private wealth creation for many years to come.

What you'll do

As a Product Manager at Sidekick, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the development and expansion of our wealth management solution, iterating and improving on our investment products and portfolio line of credit, whilst helping launch a suite of new features, asset classes and services.

You will work closely with the wider cross-functional team to break down high-level product requirements, prioritise feature development, and ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate high-level product requirements into detailed user stories and technical tasks.

  • Organise the product backlog and prioritise feature development based on business objectives, user needs, and technical feasibility.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and designers to deliver against the agreed roadmap and OKRs.

  • Working with people across the business who are less techy, to encourage agile ways of working, and fast iterative delivery

  • Support robust testing and release practices.

  • Facilitate planning sessions, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and accountability across the engineering team.

  • Work closely with designers to ensure that user interface designs align with technical requirements and constraints.

  • Act as a bridge between the engineering team and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies that may impact project timelines or deliverables.

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our development processes and tools, identifying opportunities for improvement.

About you

You're proactive, organised, collaborative, and empathetic. You also have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a product management or technical product owner role.

  • Experience in fintech is a strong plus.

  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities, test hypotheses, and prioritise ideas.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating agile ceremonies and managing product backlogs.

  • Proficiency in tracking key KPIs and evaluating the effectiveness of development processes.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to financial products and services is a plus.
