Senior Product Designer
At Sidekick Money, we’re a customer-focused startup embarking on a bold mission to unlock products and financial services typically reserved for the 1%. Our recently introduced MVP for actively managed investments is gaining an enthusiastic response from our Founding Members. We are currently growing our design team and are in search of a Senior Product Designer to join our small team in Old Street, London. Your role will contribute to our journey of democratising private wealth creation for many years to come.
You will play a pivotal role in driving the design of our products alongside our Lead Product Designer. Your responsibilities will include:
Take ownership of complex problems and deliver simple, elegant solutions that are rooted in visual and interaction design best practices.
Participate in running user research, testing prototypes and iterate designs based on real user feedback and data.
Collaborate closely with a team of engineers and individuals with expertise in various finance domains to continuously improve the user experience.
Work alongside our Lead Product Designer to help create the design vision, influence product strategy and uphold quality levels.
Present your designs and share knowledge to the wider team in a way that simplifies complex concepts.
Pro-actively push forward the quality of work, both in terms of design, overall experience, and internal processes.
Expand and maintain the Sidekick design system.
Contribute to branding, the website and the creation of marketing assets.
You’re proactive, organised, curious, collaborative and empathetic. You also have:
Minimum of 5 years of experience with a portfolio showcasing at least 2 examples of impactful product design and your ability to solve complex problems elegantly.
Proficient in visual design, showcasing expertise in typography, desktop/mobile UI, colour, layout, iconography, and aesthetic sense. You'll also have experience using and expanding design systems.
Expert in Interaction design, defining how an experience should behave based on user needs and showcasing proficiency in prototyping.
Strong communicator with the ability to convey ideas rapidly through sketches, user flows, mock-ups, and rapid prototyping.
Strong collaborator, open to feedback and recognising that the best ideas can come from anyone.
Efficient in a fast-paced iterative environment, demonstrating the ability to switch context and manage your time.
Capability to leverage research and data for the validation of designs, and pinpoint fresh opportunities for the growth of the product.
Proactive in taking responsibility, learning and acquiring new skills.
Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Figjam, Google Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Slack.

Applicants are expected to spend at least 1 day per week in the Sidekick office, although if that doesn’t work for you we do have some flexibility on allowing more remote work.
